Design

The Bluetooth on-ears design is just like the wired version JBL Tune 500 and it’s features that it’s a flexible cradle with an incline and retractable headset outside.

Moreover, the headset is space-saving, foldable, easy to take on trips, and fixed over your head well. It comes in dark, blue, green, red, and white tones. This is a circumaural (over-ear) design headset.

Build Quality

This headset is well bit and more powerful than the E55BT. The folding joints designed by metal and when you folding the cups, you won’t feel cheap about it.

Moreover, the cups won’t break easily from accidental falls because the cups feel nicely heavy.

The headband is strengthened with a skinny metal sheet. It built and polished look just like the Live 650BTNC.

Stability

It’s stable enough for running because it’s too tight on the head. Furthermore, you won’t feel any issue when casually listen to sessions, but it may shake around a little when you are doing extreme sports.

Comfort

Too comfortable to wear. The lightweight on-ear headset has a powerful clamping force but feels low earpads.

It’s much better for the basic activity and gym due to clamping force is too powerful. It feels like sweat and gets hot after using a while, but it doesn’t move around the head.

It can fit easily on bigger heads. It’s comfortable for an adult or older kid because they are extendable and flexible headband. The swiveling cups should for all head shapes.

Portability

The Tune 500BT is too bulky like a most over-ears headphone. Considering upside, it does fold into a much dense format and the cups swivel to lay flat. Due to it’s become simple to wear them around your neck.

Sound Quality

The JBL Tune 500BT is a good wireless on-ear headset supported bass-emphasized sound quality that looks like it’s under $50 with basic feature and cheap material.

The bass performance is impressive. The LFE(low-frequency extension) is less than 10Hz, which is superb. The 4dB is extreme in the low-bass result in a bass that has a little extending rumble and thump. But bass-heavy music fans supported this.

Noise Isolation

Usually, passive noise isolation isn’t great for on-ear headphones. But the JBL Tune 500BT provides nice isolation due to the “clumpy” fit of closed-back earcups.

When you listen to a normal sound in a silent room, it will leakage some sound and the surrounding peoples can easily listen about.

But for the gym, no one will mind about this.

If you want to use it outside, you will listen to the noise wind creates by the on-ear design that extends.

Microphone

The recording quality of this microphone is below average. The recorded speech with this mic will deliver a thin sound due to LFE (low-frequency extension) is about 392Hz.

The HFE (high-frequency extension) of 3.4kHz specify speech that the sounds downs in detail and muffled.

Battery

The JBL Tune 500BT offers amazing battery life. It provides about 16 hours of non-stop playback on a single charge that we calculated, but the JBL advertised 18 hours. It also fully charge less than two hours, which is impressive.

The headphone will automatically power off after 5 minutes to save power. Overall, it’s enough for a lot of days and it won’t need to charge daily.

Pros

  • Too comfortable.
  • Foldable design.
  • Multipoint(connect to 2 devices)
  • Reliable Bluetooth connection.

Cons

  • Noisy earpads
  • Cheap material.
  • Little bit narrow soundstage.

Would it be able to Connect with 2 Devices at the Same Time (Multipoint)?

Obviously, it can happen. A table and smartphone, or two smartphones, you can play without pausing one of them.

When it doesn’t work on (PC and Android phone), then you can perfectly switch between the 2 devices. Press and hold the middle and plus button for 2 seconds to listen to the voice prompt. After that normally continue on the other device.

Is Video Delay Problem Faces by JBL Tune 500BT or not?

No, it’s close to impossible to delay it whenever you play your favorite YouTube videos.

We know about there a little delay on Bluetooth headphones. But for this headphone, it’s a bit and can’t noticeable for humans.

Considering Microphone Quality?

The microphone is quite average in a silent room but releases some background noises.

Why you should Buy JBL Tune 500BT?

If you want a portable, dependable, and cheap wireless on-ear headset with solid bass, then you can go with JBL tune 500BT. JBL is a famous brand with too much customer support and high build quality, but it isn’t water-resistant.

It is quite impressive for traveling because you can use them for phone calls and YouTube while commuting.

If you want to listen to music during a workout, no issue. You can easily use it during workout sessions, and if you don’t need this headphone, fold up and pack it into a backpack.

The JBL Tune 500Bt isn’t best at some points but too good at many things, and that’s impressive at this price point.

The JBL tune 500bt waterproof or not?

NO, JBL Tune 500BT Bluetooth Headphone doesn’t support water resistance.

Conclusion

Lastly, I shared the best result according to your need which will provide you something classic and so helpful for your gym sessions and commute.

So, if you want something like that at a reasonable price, go for it and make you feel enjoyable.
